HOW AM I DISCOVERING YOUR WRITING ONLY NOW OMG ARTHUR!

I did not, in fact, know about Pascal's wager. After clicking in and reading it, I was tickled thoroughly. And then I go on to read about Petty's wager.... hahaha. 🤌 *chef's kiss*

I was rolling with laughter at the tragedy of discovering the fate of disbelievers (but it's also your writing). Thanks for this joy as I laugh-snorted through the thinking hehe.

Random rabbit holes my brain went into as I was reading was...

~ oh, I wonder if life has some sort of insurance (or insurance plan) for disbelievers for taking on so much risk hehe

~ oh, I wonder if some people believe of something like the before-life? You know..where being a human is just a blip in their timeline, but they are persistent souls without a body (before and after life). And then I wonder what vindication those folks receive looking at disbelievers navigating life hehe

~ oh, my cat certainly will have the last laugh in her nine lives and nine afterlives

Thank you so much for such glowing feedback! I'm very glad you enjoyed the post this much!

I guess in the before-life scenario everybody is already aware of the situation so there would be no disbeliever, at least until they incarnated into a human life and forgot about it. At which point Petty's wager can apply for their stance on beyond-life assuming you go back there after your human life.

About disbelief and the afterlife, it is interesting that several NDE stories are from disbelievers who actually were surprised that they were still "alive" and that the transition out of body was so gentle they couldn't tell until they saw their body and realized it was "them" 😆

Yes, that's a pretty common trope in these stories indeed. I guess even if you're a believer it might be a little disorienting at first.
